Grounded Resume Checker compares a job posting against your own resume or background text using Anthropic's Claude models (or, if you choose, any model available through OpenRouter using your own OpenRouter key), and returns a cited, three-valued verdict per requirement — met, partially met, or missing — never a percentage or score.
For resume analysis: nothing. There is no server of ours in that request path — your API key, job posting text, background text, and analysis results go directly to your chosen provider (Anthropic or OpenRouter) and back, and we never see any of it.
Separately, and only if you choose to use it: an optional "get tips + the toolkit offer by email" box appears after your first successful check. If you enter an email address there, we store that email address, and send it a short 3-part email sequence over about a week. You can unsubscribe from any of those emails with one click — doing so deletes your subscription. This is opt-in only; declining or ignoring the box changes nothing else about how the extension works.
You can also sign up for the same email sequence with the form on the Career Tools page at techtrendwire.com. If you do, we store your email address and the fact that you signed up on the website, and send you the same short 3-part sequence over about a week. You can unsubscribe from any of those emails with one click. That form collects only your email address; your resume and job-posting content never go through it.

Sent only to your chosen provider's API, as authentication for your own requests.chrome.storage.local so you don't have to re-paste it each time.chrome.storage.local, used only locally to adjust that check's own verdict — never sent to Anthropic, never sent to us or anyone else.By default, analysis requests go directly to Anthropic (api.anthropic.com) using your own key. Anthropic's handling of that data is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.
If you choose OpenRouter instead (Settings → AI provider), requests go to openrouter.ai using your own OpenRouter key, and OpenRouter forwards them to whichever underlying model you selected — meaning your data passes through OpenRouter's own infrastructure in addition to that model's provider. See OpenRouter's privacy policy if you use this option. Either way, TechTrendWire has no visibility into data sent through this extension to either provider.
If you opt into the email sequence, your email address is stored in our Supabase database and sent through Resend (our email delivery provider) to deliver the sequence. Neither service ever receives your resume or job-posting content — only the email address itself.
